Dental Implants

Dental Bridges
Dental bridges are designed to fill spaces between your existing teeth and can serve as effective teeth replacements. Composed of a small row of artificial teeth, dental bridges are removable and look natural, able to improve chewing and speaking in addition to giving your teeth a better appearance. They are built to last and can prevent surrounding teeth from moving and shifting. The Fixed Bridge is the most popular type, made of an artificial tooth attached to two dental crowns. The Fixed Bridge is attached over your existing teeth, which hold the bridge in place. Dr. Oelbaum will evaluate your teeth and determine the best type of bridge to meet your needs and give you a vibrant new smile.
Endodontics
Endodontics is recognized by the ADA as a dental specialty that deals with the tissues that surround the root and pulp of a tooth. The principal focus of Endodontics is the root canal treatment. Root canals are often necessary for teeth that are affected by:
- Severe decay
- Extreme sensitivity to hot and cold
- Infected and/or inflamed tooth pulp
- Breaks, chips, or injuries
- Swelling or tenderness near an infected tooth
- Repeated dental procedures

Wisdom Teeth
Wisdom teeth don’t usually appear until you are in your late teens or twenties. Also called third molars, they form at the back of your upper and lower teeth and often lack the space to come through the gums properly. This can lead to teeth impaction, which can cause damage to surrounding teeth – including severe misalignment. Plus, once the wisdom teeth start coming in, they usually cause discomfort and irritation. Also, wisdom teeth that ultimately do not penetrate through the gums can cause an abscess or cyst to develop. Untreated cases can do serious damage to surrounding teeth, gums, and underlying bone.
